Key responsibilities may include:
Assist in the sales process, including estimating work effort and expenses using Avanade's standard tools.
Develop detailed work plans that form the baseline or yardstick for measuring process.
Implement appropriate controls and governance structures to ensure on-time, on-budget and quality outcomes.
Manage Avanade and subcontractor staff assigned to the project including the completion of project expectations and Project Contribution Forms.
Manage issues and risks associated with the project.
Manage the deliverable approval process essential to overall project approval.
Work with the sales team to manage changes to the original agreements.
Develop complete and accurate status reports.
Support the generation of invoices and other tracking performed by Avanade Finance.
Adhere to Service Line and Americas Managed Delivery guidelines and processes.
Ensure compliance with corporate standards (legal, commercial, methodology, etc.) throughout all delivery management activities.
Engage appropriate AGDN workforces including: ATS, GDN, GCP and Service Line consulting.
Demonstrate the ability to work systematically and logically to analyze situations, resolve problems, identify causes and anticipate implications
Manage and develop customer relationships and perceptions to achieve mutual goals
Demonstrate the capacity to plan, prioritize and organize their time, project schedules and multiple project activities
Experience managing activities performed by off-shore resources.
Demonstrated extensive experience using key Project Management disciplines (estimating, work planning, contract management, scope management, user acceptance, etc.).
Demonstrated extensive experience using Microsoft delivery methodologies
Program and project management methods, tools and techniques.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects that result in the accomplishment of overall business objectives.
Consulting / project-based background (not strictly client-side).
Basic knowledge of contract terms and negotiation skills
Customer oriented attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
Outstanding people management skills, including ability to lead a team and mentor individuals in career growth.
Demonstrates a high degree of integrity, credibility, and character.
Ability to travel 50% of the time (Mon-Fri)
Bachelor’s Degree: Business or technology related BA/BS
5 to 10+ years of project experience including 3+ years of project management experience with a majority of this focused on the implementation of Microsoft solutions
At least one full life cycle implementation in a project manager role, as well as other partial life cycle implementations.
Clear and concise oral and written communication
Ability to lead people, teams and projects
Understanding of aspects of business management and strategic evaluation
Prior consulting experience
Working knowledge of at least one software development methodology
Certification in Project Management (PMP)
Knowledge of project estimation techniques and challenges.
Working knowledge of Microsoft platform skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
Results oriented / self-directed ability to drive change in unstructured environment
Strong client interface and presentation skills
Strong business acumen
Track record of initiative and outstanding performance
