As an Executive, Region Market Unit Lead you will be responsible for the overall performance and growth of Business Applications in an assigned geography. You’ll develop Market Unit business strategy, including oversight and delivery against sales and financial performance measures. You will work closely with Avanade Offering Development, Marketing, and Regional and Global Market Unit Teams, Accenture, Microsoft, and solution alliance partners in North America to achieve Avanade business growth and client success. Within the role, you’ll mitigating future and resolve present quality and client delivery issues. In partnership with the Regional Executive and Area Market Unit Lead, you’ll strategize future offering investments to grow the business.

In this role, you will manage full-spectrum, cross-Market Unit solution delivery for clients. In close partnership with the sales organization, you’ll help drive offerings to target clients, supporting long-term growth of the Market Unit. You will partner with Talent Community and Regional Capability Leads on hiring, staffing, resourcing and skills to manage utilization and chargeability targets. In addition, you’ll optimize use of the Global Delivery Network (GDN) to maintain effective business operations and project outcomes, while preparing our organization for market changes.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Collaborate with business development teams and peer Market Unit Leads to drive offerings to target clients, including all stages of the deal pursuit, review and approval

  • Manage budget against assigned Area/Region metrics; provide forecasting and sales pipeline analysis to support processes

  • Lead solution planning and design efforts across teams and workstreams to deliver value for clients, ensuring client satisfaction

  • Partner with executive level clients, ensuring they receive required engagement value and supporting future sales pipeline

  • Manage quality delivery of solutions to clients; meeting company and client financial expectations, mitigating future and resolving present quality and client delivery issues to estimate EAC outcomes

  • Partners with peers in other geographies and with the Area-level Region Market Unit(s) Lead to establish the strategy and operations plans

  • Travel as dictated by the business.


About you

You are an experienced leader, with an appreciation for cultivating and coaching teams. You’re a natural business developer, with experience growing a technology services line of business through strategy, sales contribution and the ability to establish a presence within a target market and key clients. You have track record for developing and growing long term, high value client relationships, with strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.

In addition, your professional skillset likely includes:

  • Experience with sales principles and practices, including business development, marketing, and complex channel management

  • Ability to effectively team with peers in a large, matrixed organizations, including significant experience with off-shore teams and delivery

  • Experience delivering solutions for client organizations through complex solutions / projects with heavy client interaction

  • Strong consulting / project-based background, including assessing and managing the opportunity and risk associated with large scale, complex projects.

You likely possess a Bachelor's degree in Business or technology-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An advanced degree or MBA is strongly preferred, particularly technical (IT, engineering, or related). You have over 15 years relevant technology business leadership experience, including solution sales, creation, delivery and business management, and more than 10 years of demonstrated people and/or business leadership experience, particularly within a consultancy.
